About the author

I am an Australian-born former attorney now based in Los Angeles.

I always enjoyed creative writing as a student and began writing novels as a teenager, albeit without any success. There’s this pesky thing called copyright which means you can’t just go writing a Star Wars novel and expect it to be published, but try telling that to a thirteen year old.

Eventually formulating my own ideas, I continued to write thrillers. There was the story about the advanced secret fighter jet that a team of terrorists captured. There was the story about a teenager who underwent experiments designed to turn him into a super soldier. None were worthy of publishing, but they were a window into the craft of storytelling. Even though I had much to work on, I maintained a firm belief that, one day, I’d do this properly and put something out into the world.

Of course, life soon got in the way. I went to law school, got myself a mortgage and began a career in construction disputes. It paid the bills, allowed me to travel the world and meet people and enjoy food from all over.

But the urge to do something more creative never entirely left me. I wrote and produced a small six-episode sitcom, The Boys’ Place, which was broadcast on local television in Melbourne. I got the opportunity to move to Los Angeles and be closer to film production. I kept thinking to myself, one day.

And then, one day finally came. It didn’t land in my lap, but a small idea that had been in the back of my mind for years finally began to germinate and I realized that I had something that I could genuinely commit to. Years later, it is time to share that story with the world.
